If you are doing this for the Beginners Workshop you will need to do the following We would like for the original layout to be
recognizable, |

Open the template that is provided for this tutorial. template - C28. Open the photo you want to use.

Choosing your colors Working with the background Using the eye dropper in your tool panel select your color from your photo if you have a pattern fill or a background to compliment your photos by all means use that. On the menu bar select edit/fill when the box opens select ok, Make sure nothing is selected. I will be using a solid color for this one. Note- You can always leave the background as is if you like. If you do leave the background as is skip to Edit the title. |

Select Edit/fill from the menue bar. If you are using a fill pattern select image then select the 3 dots to find the image you are going to use. tick off tile image click -ok |

Background Colors Lets continue with background colors Hue and Saturation Using this method you don't have to replace the grid.. Use Hue and Saturation to change your background colors tool bar Adjust/Hue and Saturation Make the changes you want click ok |

By changing the color with the fill tool you will see the grid is gone, Not a problem we will add the grid after the next step. Menu bar Choose selection/all selection border us these settings Border width 60 Direction Both Shape box OK Edit/ fill /color/ white, right click convert to object select enter on your keyboard or left click to deselect

Making the grid On the menu bar select Web/Grid and Partition use these settings Row 5 Column 5 Grid line 2 color white tick off draw border line
Oh!! look our grid is
back. |

Edit the title.
Select your text tool, double click the text then backspace to clear the text.. Select your font and text size. Type your new title. |

Adding your photo and elements Adding your photo to your workspace. We are going to use the copy and paste method to add your photo and elements Select your photo,or whatever image you are going to use right click and copy. left click to select your template object (the white rectangle)

Duplicate the matt (the white rectangle) Go to Edit/paste/ fit into selection. You can now reposition / resize your photo Continue till you have all your photo's where you want them, You can add a texture to one or all of the photos/ elements Add your elements where you want.. .Don't forget if your doing this for the Beginners Workshop be sure to use a Scrapbook Embellishment from the PI-I Scrapbooking Site
One final thing to add....your water mark and date right click Merge all optimize and save as pg.. I did some journaling here...
Remember If you're doing this for the BW, please be sure to
re-size according to the guidelines. |
